Farm and Process

The Bajawa region, located in the highlands of central Flores near Mount Inerie, is particularly well known for its coffee production. Here, coffee is cultivated on small family farms in mineral-rich volcanic soils, where the tropical climate and higher elevations provide favorable growing conditions for Arabica coffee.

Coffee farming is an important part of the local agricultural economy, with traditional growing and processing methods passed down through generations.

About

In the cup, expect rich cocoa notes, a smooth, full body, and a subtle hint of citrus, complemented by the earthy, aromatic characteristics that make Indonesian coffees so distinctive.

The coffee's traditional wet-hulled processing, known locally as giling basah, contributes to its heavier body, subdued acidity, and distinctive flavor profile.

For customers who enjoy a rich, smooth coffee with plenty of character, Flores Bajawa Ngura is an excellent choice. It offers something different from traditional Central and South American coffees while remaining approachable and enjoyable for everyday coffee drinkers.

Design

The label design was inspired by indie record sleeves and concert posters from the mid-century.

Small Batch Roasted

Every bag of coffee is roasted to order in small batches.

This ensures your coffee is delivered fresh and gives you an amazing cup of coffee, every time.

Mid-Century Centered

Everything that surrounds our coffee is inspired by Mid-Century Modern design. We want to take people back to a time when everything was designed with intention.

All of the designs are created in-house by MCM Coffee's owners.
